The PureGym Group is a global gym business with a community of more than 700 gyms and over 2 million members. We’ve come a long way since we opened our very first gym in Leeds, UK back in 2009! At PureGym, everything we do comes back to one simple idea: helping you feel good. Not just gym-fit, but feel-good-fit - strong in your body, clear in your mind, and confident in your everyday life.

    In 2005, the first Fitness World center opened on Gasværksvej in Copenhagen. We wanted to challenge the Danish fitness market in terms of price, quality, selection and efficiency. We succeeded!  We are Denmark's largest fitness community with over 120 centers.

A gym for Everybody

PureGym is the UK's largest private gym operator and second largest in Europe, and we're growing, fast. Following the acquisition of the Blink Fitness estate in the US in late 2024, we are excited for our continued expansion plans in the world's largest fitness market. Next stop in our international growth plans is the Republic of Ireland. Expect to see a gym near you in 2027!
